Photo A Day Challenge

Day 9 - Doing a photo a day challenge is kind of like starting a new workout regimen...I know it's all worth it, but I find myself resisting on some level every day. So far, at not even 10 days, I have missed two. The beautiful thing about doing this is how I find myself expanding. I see opportunities where I didn't before... I find beauty in simplicity, like an artichoke plant, a bracelet, or a plant back-lit by my headlights.

I also find myself going out, finding something to photograph where otherwise, I would just be sitting at home. I truly love photography, and everything about it. So as I continue this 31 day journey, I will continue to delve into what it is that I resist...

So far what I see that I resist the most it commitment and obligation. Although being obligated gives me direction, purpose and a level of motivation, I resist it. I realize that these things keep me from allowing myself to be lazy. Each day with this challenge, I look to be inspired. I strive to learn. When left without these vehicles, I become stagnant. Bored. Anxious. Depressed.

Now, as I continue with this adventure, I am Vital. Alive. Aware. Seeking. Curious. Striving.
I encourage you to join me in this challenge - have fun! Expand your skills. If you are not a photographer, start a challenge doing something that you love, or an area in which you would like to improve your skills.
